July 5 and 6, 2008. 10am-5pm Glendale Gardens, Victoria, BC Just north of Camosun College Interurban Campus – See Getting There Founded and directed by Victoria’s Deb Morse, The Organic Islands Festival and Sustainability Expo has become Canada’s largest outdoor green festival and features fun and entertainment for all ages; providing provocative, inspiring education about the green movement and how we can effectively make it part of our everyday lives. Advance ticket holders receive entry to festival and free entry to Arts in the Gardens, Aug 9 & 10. Glendale Gardens and Woodland features ten acres of gardens and is home to The Horticulture Centre of the Pacific (HCP) at 505 Quayle Road in West Saanich. Located near the heritage city of Victoria on Vancouver Island. See Getting There for map, directions and bus information. Glendale Gardens are set in the midst of a 100 acre conservation park with nature trails, wetlands and bird watching sites. The Gardens contain over 10,000 varieties of plants, and include a Native Plant Garden, Children′s Garden, Rhododendron and Heather gardens, Dahlia and Lily beds, Takata Japanese and Zen Gardens, and more.
