GREEN BONANZA

Organic food isn't just for hippies any more. It's the largest-growing food sector in Canada. Tomorrow and Sunday, organic farmers, cheese makers and hemp-bar bakers from all over the province are coming together to celebrate sustainable living at the first annual Organic Islands Festival. More than 50 vendors will be on site at the Horticulture Centre in Victoria for what is being billed as the largest fair of its kind. In addition to lots of good eating, there will be wine tastings, face painting, Celtic fiddling and workshops on how to revitalize your garden with compost tea.

Tickets cost $5.
