Festival Venue

Glendale Gardens and Woodland features ten acres of gardens and is home to The Horticulture Centre of the Pacific (HCP) at 505 Quayle Road in West Saanich, near the heritage city of Victoria on Vancouver Island. See directions and bus information below.

Glendale Gardens is nestled in a hundred-acre rural conservation park with nature trails, wetlands and bird watching sites. The ten acres of Gardens contain over 10,000 varieties of plants, and include a Native Plant Garden, Children′s Garden, Rhododendron and Heather gardens, Dahlia and Lily beds, Takata Japanese and Zen Gardens, and more.

Travel...

By BUS

The nearest bus stop is on Viaduct Avenue West and Interurban Road near Camosun College, Interurban Campus. Three Victoria Regional Transit bus routes, 8, 21 and 39, travel to the Interurban campus of Camosun College. For maps, schedules and fares, see the Victoria Regional Transit website.

By BICYCLE

The Greater Victoria Cycling Coalition provides information on cycle paths and routes throughout the region. Route maps for Saanich and other areas are available online.

By CAR - Lots of parking available

Vehicle Parking: Easy-to-follow signs will direct you to the nearby parking lot, where volunteers will make sure you find the optimal parking spot. Volunteers will be on-site all day long, although we can not be held liable for the security of your vehicle.

By BC FERRIES - Then bus/bike/drive

If you are coming to the Festival from the Mainland or the Gulf Islands, you will find ferry schedules for the crossing at the BC Ferries site.

From DOWNTOWN VICTORIA

  • NORTH on BLANSHARD ST.; will become HWY 17 (PAT BAY HIGHWAY)
  • Take the ROYAL OAK DRIVE EXIT3
  • LEFT on ROYAL OAK DRIVE
  • (0.6 km/0.4 mi)…RIGHT on WEST SAANICH RD.
  • (1.5 km/1 mi)…LEFT on BEAVER LAKE RD.
  • (0.3 km/0.2 mi)…LEFT on BEAVER RD.
  • Public parking is available off of BEAVER RD. (watch for signs)

    From VICTORIA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT/BC FERRIES/SIDNEY

  • Follow signs from airport/ferries/Sidney and head SOUTH towards Victoria on HWY 17 (PAT BAY HIGHWAY)
  • take the ROYAL OAK DRIVE EXIT3
  • RIGHT on ROYAL OAK DRIVE
  • (0.6 km/0.4 mi)…RIGHT on WEST SAANICH RD.
  • (1.5 km/1 mi)…LEFT on BEAVER LAKE RD.
  • (0.3 km/0.2 mi)…LEFT on BEAVER RD.
  • Public parking is available off of BEAVER RD. (watch for signs)

    From SOOKE

  • Start out going EAST on SOOKE RD./PROVINCIAL RTE 14
  • (21 km/14 mi)…LEFT on VETERANS MEMORIAL PKWY
  • (2 km/1.4 mi)…follow signs to PROVINCIAL RTE 1 / TRANS CANADA HWY south toward Victoria
  • (4 km/2.7 mi)…take the HELMCKEN RD. exit- EXIT 8
  • Left on HELMCKEN RD.
  • (2 km/1.4 mi)…LEFT on INTERURBAN RD.
  • (3 km/1.8 mi)…RIGHT on QUAYLE RD.
  • Watch for signs for Parking/Entrance

    From NORTH OF THE MALAHAT

  • Follow RTE 1/TRANS CANADA HWY SOUTH toward Victoria
  • Take the HELMCKEN RD. exit- EXIT 8
  • Left on HELMCKEN RD.
  • (2 km/1.4 mi)…LEFT on INTERURBAN RD.
  • (3 km/1.8 mi)…RIGHT on QUAYLE RD.
  • Watch for signs for Parking/Entrance
